Calvin Harris Rushed To Hospital After Car Crash
Calvin Harris has been hospitalized after a car crash in Los Angeles overnight.
The international DJ sustained injuries that required immediate attention and was transported to the hospital in an ambulance.
Harris, 32, was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle late on Friday when it was struck by a car that had crossed over the centre line, Los Angeles police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman said on Saturday.
Harris has since been released from the local hospital, Eisenman said.
Although, it is being reported that Harris left the hospital against medical advice when they could not accommodate the DJ with a private room.
A passenger in the oncoming car was ejected from the vehicle and suffered a broken pelvis, but her injuries are not life-threatening, Eisenman said.
The teenager was allegedly unrestrained in the car, sitting on a fellow passenger's lap at the time.
Harris, who is also a record producer, was on the 2015 Forbes magazine list of top earning DJs with an estimated $US66 million ($A91.32 million) in annual income.
His public profile has risen since he was seen dating pop star Taylor Swift beginning last year.
Harris was being driven to the airport when the accident happened, and has cancelled his show scheduled for Saturday night at the Omnia Nightclub in Las Vegas, according to a post on his Facebook page.

"He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days," the post said.
A spokeswoman for Harris did not immediately return an email seeking comment.
Harris, whose top recordings include the songs We Found Love and Summer, has worked with singers like Rihanna and Ne-Yo.
His 2014 album Motion debuted at the top of the US dance charts.
