Dami Im has performed her first live performance since her epic Eurovision journey where she placed as runner-up in the globally seen song contest.
Returning to her hometown of Brisbane, she performed at her former school, John Paul College, where she revealed to hundreds of students and their parents that she used to wag school.
She also told them that she was very shy and really had to push herself into uncomfortable situations in order to succeed.
"When I was at school I was a shy kid behind a piano, but don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone," Im said.
She added: "I have to admit I did wag some classes ... I don't advise you do the same."
"You shouldn't skip classes. It's not good for you. Don't do it."
Im performed a few songs at the televised event which was held before school started.

She said she was putting down her microphone this week and heading to Uganda as part of her role as an ambassador for Compassion Australia.
The 27-year-old said the trip was organised late last year and despite her meteoric rise to fame following her Eurovision performance, she was determined to fulfill her commitment to the Christian charity.
"This is my first time to visit Africa in general, so I don't know what to expect," Im said.
"I want to bring a lot of attention to the people living in poverty."
Im was initially discovered after she appeared on the X Factor, winning the 2013 season, and what a journey it's been for her since!
