Ed Sheeran Goes Back To Acoustic Roots With New Video
Ed Sheeran may have just released his new song "Beautiful People" with Khalid, but the singer is gifting fans with another version of the song.
The 28-year-old dropped a live stripped-down acoustic version of the new song on Tuesday (July 2) accompanied by a black and white video. The song was recorded at the historic Abbey Road in London, England.
Just like the lyrics, the new video is free of anything flashy or glamorous and just features Sheeran doing what he does best.
Sheeran takes it back to his acoustic roots and performed the song with just a guitar and piano and it definitely shows off his amazing vocals. While his collaborator doesn't make an appearance in this version, Sheeran effortlessly covers Khalid's soulful verse.
Sheeran is gearing up to release No.6 Collaborations Project, due out July 12. "Beautiful People" is the third single off the album coming after the Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock-assisted song "Cross Me" and his Justin Bieber collab "I Don't Care."
He's set to release another single, titled "Blow," this Friday with Bruno Mars and country singer Chris Stapleton. The announcement came just this past weekend.
In the meantime, the "Shape Of You" singer is releasing a series of photos wearing Versace after being told by Mars that he has to work on being swag. New photos will be released in the coming days up until the release of the song.

So a couple of weeks ago I took some pictures in @versace to try and look like @brunomars. He said I needed some work being #swag. Donatella at Versace kindly sent me some stuff. I did a photo shoot in them, and will be posting them in the lead up to my song with Bruno and @chrisstapleton coming out. Enjoy, more tomorrow x 📸 @zakarywalters
