Ed Sheeran Let Slip When Taylor Swift Is Releasing New Music

We've been clinging on to Taylor Swift's 1989 album since October 2015 and we're ready for more.

While Tay Tay has remained mute about when to expect new music, it seems her bestie Ed Sheeran just spilled the beans.

In a recent interview with BBC he said he was glad 2017 is when he released his new album.

His justification? A lot of big artists dropped albums in 2016 - leaving this year to be all about Ed.

But it was his next comments that are most telling.

"I think this year is going to be the high point. I have a feeling about it," Ed said in the interview with BBC.

"Seventeen is my lucky number, and everyone I was scared of releasing of albums around me released them all last year - people like Beyonce and The Weekend and Bruno Mars.

"Taylor [Swift] isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year - Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records. So I've got a full year of just all Ed, all the time."

Of course then the impatient side of us kicks in... it's still 9 or 10 months away.

After taking a hiatus from performing and some time to herself, we're sure her new album will be worth the wait.

Let's not forget some of her recent romances (Calvin / Tom Hiddleston) and the progression of her girl squad in that time.

We can't wait!
