'It Was An Act': Lady Gaga Opens Up About Her Oscar Duet
Fresh from her Oscars win, and that incredible rendition of 'Shallow' with co-star Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga has appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' to address 'those' romance rumours.
Social media went into meltdown when Gaga and Cooper performed the duet from 'A Star Is Born' while locking eyes and getting a bit too close. We hadn't seen off-screen chemistry like this since The Notebook's Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdam's dated in 2004.
Over the past few days, the Internet has run rampant with speculation that Gaga and Cooper could quite possibly be an item, despite the fact that Bradley is already taken.
With her Oscar in tow, Gaga wanted to set the record straight, telling Kimmel that is was simply an 'act'.
"We worked so hard, we worked all week on that performance," she told the talk show host, before explaining how she handed the reigns over to Cooper to direct the live performance.
"Everything that you saw, the way that it was shot, the way they pushed the piano out... us walking out on stage, that was all [Bradley].
And, the chemistry?
"Yes, people saw love and guest what? That's what we wanted you to see. This is a love song, 'Shallow'. A Star Is Born is a love story!," she continued.
"I'm an artist and I guess we did a good job... fooled ya!"
Gaga also teased the upcoming re-release of the film, which includes 12 extra unseen minutes.
