Katy Perry Says Swish Swish Is Not A Taylor Swift Diss Track

Katy Perry's latest track 'Swish Swish' was immediately thought to be a Taylor Swift diss track, but not so says Katy.

Ruby Rose was one of many who assumed the track was aimed at Swift, the song including lyrics such as:

"So keep calm, honey, I'ma stick around
For more than a minute, get used to it
Funny my name keeps comin' outcho mouth
'Cause I stay winning,"

and,

"Your game is tired
You should retire
You're 'bout cute as
An old coupon expired
And karma's not a liar
She keeps receipts,"

Katy Perry though, has attempted to clear up the rumours on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon saying the song is not aimed at any one person, but rather it's an anti-bullying anthem.

"I think it's a great anthem for people to use when someone's trying to hold you down, or bully you," Katy said. "That's kind of what this record is about: 360-degree liberation. Chained to the Rhythm was this political liberation. Bon Appetit was a sexual liberation. And now, I think 'Swish [Swish]' is a liberation from all the negative that doesn't serve you."
