Lauren From Fifth Harmony Speaks On Why The Group Split Up

On Monday 19 March, girl group Fifth Harmony announced that they were going on an “indefinite hiatus”. Rumours had been circling the group ever since Camila Capello left the group back in 2016 and since Normani begun doing her own solo projects recently too.

Now, Lauren Jauregui has opened up about why the group has split up. Speaking to Playboy, she revealed, “When you’re really disconnected from who you are and you’re ashamed of it, you can write and tell a story, but you can never really tell your story. That’s what separates a lot of artists from others - the connection.”

Basically, what Lauren is putting the split down to is the fact that the girls couldn’t grow as individuals as they were still part of the group.

There is no word on when the group will get back together again… or if they ever will.
