Line Up For Prince Tribute Concert Announced
The line up for the official Prince tribute concert has been announced, with Stevie Wonder headlining the show paying tribute to the late star.
Since his shock passing in April this year, dozens of artists have performed tributes and spoken about their admiration for the multi-talented writer, performer and producer.
Now it's been announced that 'The Official Prince Tribute: A Celebration of Life & Music' will be held in Prince’s home state of Minnesota on October 13th.
Headlining the show will be Stevie Wonder, who has not only performed several of Prince's songs since his passing, but also made an emotional tribute during an interview about his shock at the loss of the legendary star.
Also on the bill are Christina Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer, Tori Kelly, Anita Baker, Doug E. Fresh, Morris Day & the Time, and Prince's former band the New Power Generation.
In a press release, Prince’s half sister, Sharon Nelson said:
”The family is extremely excited to provide an opportunity for the world to participate in the tribute for our brother Prince…”
