Linkin Park’s Lead Singer Found Dead At Just 41

Chester Bennington, lead singer of hit band Linkin Park, has been found dead reportedly taking his own life in Los Angeles.

TMZ reports the 41-year-old was found dead in Los Angeles just before 9am local time (11pm AEST).

The Los Angeles County coroner has since confirmed he died by hanging.


He was a father to six children, three with his current wife Talinda Ann Bentley, and three from a previous relationship. He has been open about his battles with drugs and alcohol for years.

He has said in the past that he considered suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male.

He took his life on the birthday of his close friend, Chris Cornell, who also took his own life in May of this year.
