Lorde Shuts Down Haters Picking On Her Dance Moves
Lorde has made it to where she is today simply, by being herself, and we're SO here for it.
However, it seems some people still haven't caught on that being ~authentic~ and ~unique~ is a good thing.
Over the weekend, Lorde performed her new hit single 'Green Light' on Saturday Night Live. Being the absolute BOP that it is, Lorde obvi went hard out when it came to the chorus, dance-wise.
Naturally, internet trolls came in strong with the "she's awkward" and "she's weird" comments. But truth be told, Lorde legit did not care.
The 20-year-old New Zealander posted the best clapback on her Facebook page:
"One day I will do a normal dance choreographed by a nice person and I will look more like your other favourite performers but we have not yet reached that day ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ," she wrote.
Fans immediately came to Lorde's support, encouraging the songstress to stay true to herself and to NEVER stop dancing.
"I love how you jump around on stage anyway! It's so organic and your energy in those moments are what make you the artist you are," one person wrote.
While another added, "Lorde never do a normal dance please!!! I'm a singer songwriter myself and it's so nice when I see other artists just let the music overcome them."
YOU DO YOU, BABE.
