Pink Fan Gives Birth During Her Concert
One of Pink's pregnant fans couldn't wait to get the party started when she went into labor her show.
Denise Jones, 32, was among the throng of fans at the singer's packed Anfield Stadium concert when she reportedly gave birth as Pink launched into her first song of the night, "Get the Party Started." According to Liverpool Echo, venue paramedics John Matthews and Dani Berg were on crowd doctor duty to ensure everyone's safety including that of Jones and her newborn daughter, Dolly Pink, named after the pop star herself.
Per the report, the paramedics, who were on the other side of the stadium during the incident, were able to clear a path through the thousands of concert-goers just in the nick of time.
"When we reached her, it was quite clear the patient was heavily pregnant and showing signs of being in labor, said Dr. Matthews. "We took the decision to move her as quickly as possible to the First Aid Room underneath the Kop stand. We continued to assess her and established she was going to have to deliver the baby in the stadium as there was not enough time to get her to hospital."
"It took less than five minutes," he continued. "We didn't have time to get concerned or worried, we just had to crack on and get on with it. … She did it all naturally, there was no time for pain relief."
Jones, who was initially going to name her daughter "Dolly Louise," opted for Pink given she was born at the concert. Word of Dolly Pink's arrival eventually made its way to the superstar, who has two children of her own, and she responded accordingly on Instagram with: "Dolly Pink wanted to get the party started 🤘🏽❤️🤘🏽"
