Queen Beyoncé’s Nala SPEAKS In The New LION KING Teaser
A new clip from this year’s highly anticipated, photorealstic re-make of the Disney classic The Lion King has just been released.
Featuring the Queen - Beyoncé Knowles-Carter’s glorious voice as Nala, advising Simba, voiced by the one and only Donald Glover (a.k.a. Childish Gambino), to ‘come home’ and claim his rightful place as King.
If you haven’t already heard, the film is jam-packed with the most joyous and diverse plethora of voice actors – amongst Knowles-Carter (Dreamgirls) and Glover (Community, Solo: A Star Wars Story) others include Seth Rogan (Superbad) as Puumba, Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave) as Scar, Billy Eichner (Parks and Recreation) as Timon, John Oliver (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver) as Zazu and the ORIGINAL MUFASA - living legend James Earl Jones (Star Wars) - reprising his role as Simba’s father, Mufasa.
AND if that isn’t enough, Sir Elton John will also be returning to give us all the feels on the soundtrack alongside Beyoncé and Tim Rice to (hopefully) give us another banger like THE CIRCLE OF LIIIIFFFEEEEE.
We also have a fun snippet of Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan’s vocal stylings as Timon and Puumba, respectively, at the end of the teaser. Man, the hype is real!!
The Australian theatrical release is set for July 18, all in time for the 25th anniversary of the original Disney animation.
