Thoughts I Had While Listening To Niall Horan's Debut Album

Firstly, kudos to the photographer for making Niall Horan look like an absolute DREAMBOAT on the cover image of his debut album FLICKER. Them eyes tho...

Here are all the thoughts I had while listening to Flicker.

I'm already bopping my head and it's been two beats. This is a good start, Niall.

I look like a bobble head, but I like it. A lot.

I really want to know who these songs are about, tho.

Ooh he plays with vocals at the end and sings HIGH! Not Harry Styles high, but HIGH. it's over, I want to say I liked it - but it's one of those sings you'd stand there at a concert, holding your drink and just "kind of" enjoy...

❤️ ❤️ ❤️

God, I really love this song. I'm already going to give it five hearts.

I really want to know who he wrote this song for.

I think he wrote this song for me. Not you, ME.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

YASS. Duet.

This is good, although I feel like I'm back at a festival again.

It seems Niall has gone in a really "slow handed" direction with this album. (Eh, eh, see what I did there?)

Maren Morris (thanks Google) is an American Country Pop singer, and this song is real romantic.

You can really imagine these two onstage together with their guitars, staring adoringly into each others eyes.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Is it bad I skipped this? I mean, I've heard it before and in my defence, Slow Hands is great BUT it's not my fave of his pre-releases.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

This is a great song. Although, after four very similar tracks, I'm not very, umm.. excited.

The whole album is a little slow. Like real slow.

Like, put on in the background while your having the girls over and you talk about #lyfe - slow.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Oooh. I likey this one. Niall's voice sounds so raw and powerful.

Still not a very catchy song.

I think I may have finally let the dream go that Niall is going to release anything "POP-py".

Pop is just not his style anymore, and actually, I applaud him (and love him) for doing something different.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Eh. This already sounds like every other Niall Horan song on the album. I know that sounds ridic since it is HIS album, but at the same time, I want a little more from him, ya know?

This is a nice song, but I'm going to skip it.

❤️ ❤️ ❤️

You are going to LOVE this song guys.

It's the Ed Sheeran "Supermarket Flowers" of the album and it's heartbreaking.

He's singing to that girl he keeps banging on about… I don't know why I hate her all of a sudden.

"Still the flicker of hope that you first gave to me…that I want to keep, please don't leave."

Oh that's why. SHE'S LEAVING HIM. Who leaves Niall Horan?

GAH. Is this the new breakup anthem?

This is the breakup you know NEEDS to happen but you don't want it too.

This song is seriously relatable AF to anyone who has ever gone through this.

Niall's voice sounds gorgeous in this one and it’s another slow one (GASP).

I'm back at the festival again...

I just want to put on a flower crown, hold up a lighter, sip my vodka, lime and soda and sway.

"I've got a young heart and it's wild and free… I don't know where it starts but it ends with you and me… it's a hard road as far as I can see, I don't know where I'm going but I'll get back to you and me…"

Did I write this? I feel like maybe I wrote this song.

I mean, if I did, I too would just find words that rhyme a lot.

Do songs usually rhyme this much?

Free/Me. See/Me. Fight/Alright…

Niall is magical. He also makes words that don't rhyme...rhyme. Me/Need.

Nice song just can't get passed the rhyming.

I don't like to compare my artists BUT On My Own is DEFINITELY Niall's version of 'Nancy Mulligan' by our fave ginge.

It's very very Irish. Which I LOVE. Because Niall is Irish and it's a nice nod to his heritage. And that accent....

But I digress.

It's a very passionate… It's that song you hear in a rom-com where the couple have just broken up and the guy is pissed - figuratively and literally.

Guitar intro is en pointe.

The girl is back. Again.

Ooh this one is really good, I like it. Niall gets into it. A lot.

You can even kind of dance a bit to this, sort of.

Oh lordy, I just clicked my fingers to the beat of Niall Horan.

When did I become my Mother? I'm so old (cries into hands).

❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

This is a nice finale song. It's very Niall.

It's also upbeat! I can just hear the screaming teenagers now.

And by teenagers, I mean my friends and me… this is a cool song.

It's a little Coldplay actually – with all the instruments and impassioned singing.

Well Niall, you gone and done it!

It's a solid debut album.

As the record progresses, Niall seems to mature in thought and in song.

His second half is the stronger of the two and definitely holds the highlights - especially the single Flicker.

I'm a big Niall fan, who is by far my fave 1D expat, however, I'm not disappointed nor am I overly enthused.

Flicker is four heart album, three for the songs and a bonus heart just because it's Niall.
