LISTEN: Kurt Cobain's Daughter Releases Song

Frances Bean Cobain has proved that she's a chip off the old block, posting a snippet of a new, original song.

The Instagram clip, which has now been deleted, shows Frances strumming her acoustic guitar while softly singing: "So you tried to let me in / That’s nice / How’s that going?"

Back in July, The Business Times reported that the 26-year-old daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love had signed a two-album deal with Columbia Records. However, she has yet to officially confirm the news. In the past, Cobain has said that her Instagram posts aren't going to be officially released, but that she is interested in pursuing a career in music.

On the 24th anniversary of her father's death, the artist/model debuted her first original song on the platform, jam packed with raw emotion. The song, which has since been deleted, featured the lyrics: "I think I saw you when I was small / I think I found you, a penny for your good thoughts."

She's definitely following in her father's footsteps!
