SZA Says Her Voice Is 'Permanently Injured'
SZA has revealed that she has permanently damaged her vocal chords after a series of since-deleted tweets on Tuesday night (May 29).
"My voice is permanently injured," the 27-year-old singer admitted after her performance at Madison Square Garden. "Tonight was the test. That settles that I jus[t] wanna be left alone, my priorities are f**ked up. They been f**ked up. I need space goodbye."
The tweets followed SZA's performance during the New York leg of the TDE Championship Tour, marking her return since her absence from the tour. Last week, SZA explained her vocal issues on Instagram, saying that if she didn't take a break now, she'd "be forced to pause permanently."

They don’t this time . I’m not sick my voice just won’t fucking work😔 🤷🏾♀️. If I don’t pause now I’ll be forced to pause permanently . Its a waiting game and super weird to be blamed for stuff outta my control but I get it ! again .. I’m sorry..I’ll be right back . Pray for me or don’t . Preciate u either way ❤️-S
SZA's revelation comes just days before back-to-back shows in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
